same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, 14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. 15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. 16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” In this passage, Paul is encouraging the Corinthians to keep their faith and remember that our temporary problems are tiny compared to the eternal glory we will achieve when our life on earth is over. Having tunnel vision prevents us from seeing the big, beautiful picture. So, whether you’re trying to outsmart deer in the game camera, or you’re facing a difficult situation that feels like it is consuming you, just close your eyes for a little quiet time and remember that the eternal view is always the best. ●

Everyone looks forward to fall in Texas. With fall comes baby calves, football, hunting, and hopefully a break from the intense heat. Along with showing cattle, one of the things we enjoy as a family is deer hunting. We spend a lot of time getting cameras set up, trails cleared, and food plots planted. Its always fun to see what starts coming in on the trail cameras. With all the modern technology, we think we have a good idea of all the deer that hang out on our property. Once we get out there and sit in the blind with a full view of things, it never fails that we see a buck that has never been on any of our cameras. The narrow view of the camera reminds me of the way that we look at things here on earth compared to having an eternal view full of faith of things impossible for us to see. Just like the camera, we often only focus on what is right in front of us instead of seeing the bigger picture. 2 Corinthians 4 teaches us, “13 It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that
