“My name is Brisco Black and I am thirteen years old. My parents are Coltin and Kathryn Black. I am the oldest, I have a little sister that is 7 years old named, Harper. Our family owns and operates Kelly Hair Sheep, a Dorper-influenced show lamb operation in Zephyr, TX.” Brisco was introduced to hard work and persistent dedication at a very young age with helping his family extensively raise show lambs and grow their business to what it is today. “I work outside everyday with my mom and dad. Usually my jobs are cleaning pens, feeding, assisting in sorting and doctoring, to giving my opinion in breeding decisions. Sometimes, my dad lets me drive the skid steer but usually I get stuck opening and closing a lot of gates. I have always been interested in the hands-on and informative experience that the livestock industry offers.
