I love the show cattle industry and have spent the majority of my life at the barn and it’s truly one of my favorite places. My dad, Jerrod Arthur, owns and operates Lucky Strike Show Cattle where we raise and sell show cattle to 4-H and FFA exhibitors. I have had the chance to meet people from all over the show industry and attend local, state and national shows. I have lived in Stillwater, OK my whole life and attend school at Ripley Public Schools where I play Shortstop on the Highschool Baseball team, serve as the Ripley FFA President as well as the Senior Class President. I have had the chance to show heifers and steers since I was eight years old and have been fortunate to have success at national level shows like the American Royal, NAILE, Cattlemen’s Congress and the National Western Stock Show. Taking care of customers is the primary focus
of our cattle business, so 2025 was my first year to show steers at the American Royal. This is my senior year of high school, so I was excited to have the chance to have steers on feed for Kansas City. My dad and I spent lots of time last year picking out the steers that we thought would feed well for Kansas City. We selected two very different steers in hopes that one would fit the bill. I named one steer Big
