I have never been as nervous to show a heifer as I was walking into my class this year at Junior Nationals. I knew I wasn’t just showing her for myself; I was representing C-4, showing her for my family, the breeders, and everyone else who had a hand in the success of this heifer. It took a village to get this heifer to where she was and I have a lot of well- deserved thank you’s to give out. Most importantly, I want to thank God for the countless opportunities, blessings, and great people he has brought into my life. I want to thank everyone in the show barn who helped during those early morning and second rinses during the summer. I want to thank Conley Cattle for everything they have done for me and my family.
I want to thank the entire C-4 crew & Tatum Swink for always being the best ring-side coach. My family has always been my biggest support. I know that it doesn’t matter if I win the whole show or stand dead last in my class, they will always encourage and celebrate me. I know this success can be attributed to everyone who helped me get to this point.

I have never been more thankful than I was in that moment. Even now it’s hard to believe that my dream became a reality. This is a memory I will always hold close to my heart. ■
I can’t even describe the feeling when the judges came over to shake my hand as Grand Champion Owned Heifer. It was like everything I have ever dreamed and prayed about finally came true.
