I definitely had to be patient with this heifer, Jitter Bugs first show, and only other show was Jr. Nationals last summer in Louisville as a calf. She would never stand still the whole time I showed her, taking after her name. Taking care of her everyday was not always fun because she never stood still. I guess my other heifer is a lot the same way though. My other heifer Kenna 3339 was fifth overall this year, she also has always been kind of dumb. Hopefully this Jr. Nationals was a turning point for her because it is the first time she stood still and showed well. I was actually showing Kenna, while Carlee was
showing Jitter Bug in the grand drive. The moment Jitter Bug was slapped it was like time stopped for me, tears came to my eyes, and I looked at my dad. Seeing his reaction made me want to throw my hands up and celebrate. He actually was telling me to keep showing! When Kenna was picked fifth overall all the emotions came back! Coming out of the ring I met Chancee at the gate, she was also crying! I gave her a hug and she told me I need to get out of the middle of the gate. There were many hugs and emotions and getting to share that moment with so many people is something
I’ll never forget. Finally, I would like to thank some very special people! My mom, dad, and two sisters for everything they do for me! My grandparents for always supporting and helping us. Trenton Tosh, Ross Wingert, Matt Loggains, Matt Scasta, Garrett Cloud and Spencer Miller, thank you for all of your help each and every year! ■
