107 ISSUES This is the 107th issue of The Showtimes Magazine!
COVER The Showtimes has designed every cover of our magazine since July 2013! Plus, we've designed covers for other publications in our industry as well!
This issue marks number 107 for The Showtimes. In 2007, when I was 15 years old we printed our very first issue. As a freshman in High School with a 32-page magazine, I had no idea what the future had in store. Over the last 19 years, while genetics and design styles have changed, the basics have remained the same. The people, the ambitions that drive us and the importance of print advertising. One thing that has always fascinated me with The Showtimes at shows, is watching who picks up the magazine. Everyone from a six-year- old child to an eighty-year-old will pick up a copy and thumb through the pages. Beyond that, they take them with them when they leave! Why is that? In a fast paced, technology thriving world, there is something real about holding something tangible in your hands. Sitting in the stands or on a tack box, looking at cattle and reading a magazine. It doesn’t get more real than that! Studies have proven that 82% of customers believe print advertisements more when buying and over 80% of customers respond to traditional print marketing compared to just 45% with digital ads. When you combine print with digital marketing, it increases the effectiveness by 400%! Throwing the
stats out the window, there’s something special about being able

result. When my brother, sister and I decided to start The Showtimes, we had a dream to contribute something great to this industry. To every advertiser in this issue - to every individual that wrote a special feature – to every exhibitor and show that has given us the opportunity to showcase and cover their event… thank you for making our dream a reality! We look forward to seeing everyone at our Blackout Jackpot this month, to working on your marketing projects, to gearing up for Junior Nationals this Summer and to adding The Showtimes Effect to the livestock industry for years to come!
