When I first picked up a steno pad, I never could have imagined how livestock judging would shape nearly every aspect of my life. At the time, I only knew I loved being around cattle, the people who shared that passion, and the responsibility that came with learning to evaluate something bigger than myself. What began as curiosity quickly became a calling. I was raised in a family and community where agriculture was not just an activity, it was a way of life. Through 4-H and FFA, I learned the value of hard work at an early age. As I continued into high school, I became deeply involved in FFA. I served as President of the Waller High School communication skills. This experience taught me how to represent something greater than myself. Throughout those years, I began to understand that agriculture wasn’t only shaping my work ethic, it was solidifying my character. In 2022, while representing Waller FFA, I was honored to win High Point Individual at the American Royal in Kansas City.
