The final drive in the ring at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo is something every Texas cattle exhibitor dreams about. When White Castle was named Grand Champion, it was a feeling that is hard to put into words, it felt like I was dreaming. Winning Fort Worth is the ultimate dream for most exhibitors in Texas, but it was also one that sort of felt out of a reach to a young exhibitor like me. I’ve always been taught to “Do the best with what you’re blessed with.” That’s what I have been striving to do for the past ten years. My name is Caiman Cody, and I live in Tolar, Texas where my family owns and operates Cody's Cattle Service. Cattle and agriculture have always been a huge part of my life. I started showing in the open show
at Fort Worth when I was only three years old, so for me this win feels like the result of a lifetime of work. The reality is, it’s built on generations of dedication and hard work from my family in the cattle industry. In the past few years, I’ve been blessed to reach levels of success I once only dreamed about. In 2024, I was named Champion Junior Showman and Premier Junior Exhibitor at the National Western. This past summer, my brother and I were named Champion and Reserve Champion Overall Junior Exhibitors at the Simmental Junior Nationals. Those accomplishments will always be special because they were earned from the work I put in with my cattle and the efforts I have put into learning all sides of this industry which allowed
