Welcome to our 26th Anniverary Sale! Welcome to the Vision Angus Annual Bull and Female Sale! Last year we made it over the hump at the 25 year mark. Looking back, I’m not sure how we did it, but continued faith and a positive outlook help. Now it’s on to the next milestone, God willing and whatever that maybe. As we at Vision Angus look to the future, we don’t have any plans on steering the ship, or our cow herd, in a different direction. We plan to continue to make better Angus cattle for ourselves and our customers. We will continue to breed for balance and predictability. Why? It’s economically important to us and our customers. One positive aspect of putting together an annual sale catalog is having a chance to review the data from our cow herd more in depth. The daughter production from a couple of bulls that had topped our past sales is impressive. Vision Overdrive 7001 daughters have a collective progeny weaning ratio of 104 and Vision Emperial 6003 daughters have a collective progeny weaning ratio of 103. We have used both of these sires with the utmost confidence and you will find
several individuals in this sale from these productive young cows. Validation of our genetic progress is in the proof of production. We have increased confidence in our cow herd every year. Therefore, we plan to use young sires from our program via artificial insemination this year and more in the future. We encourage you to find the common threads running throughout this sale offering. They include some of the best maternal proven cows in the breed, the right EPD combinations for our production systems and environment, the prolific Evergreen cow family that is the heart of our herd, sires that balance EPD’s to ensure the success of working cows and a three-dimensional phenotype. ***New this year is our offering of 10 bred cows. These are cows that will calve in April no matter their record or pedigree. Everything that is due in April sells on this sale. We invite you to study the program at Vision Angus.
